California SCOUT is a mobile application for registered users of the State of California's Situation Awareness & Collaboration Tool (SCOUT). SCOUT is an information sharing platform to facilitate operational and tactical collaboration among California emergency responders and provide interagency situational awareness for local, tribal, state, and federal partners during small to extreme scale emergencies, such natural disasters, technological hazards, intentional attacks, and human-caused emergencies. California SCOUT mobile app provides registered users the ability to report information from the field, gain field situational awareness, and locate responding assets, including deployed field responders, on a map during incident operations. A valid SCOUT login is required to use this application. Note: "Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life."
